Don't forget the FBC Annual Picnic on Sunday, 8/21/11 4-8pm at Hummer Park on Fairview (just north of Maple Ave) in Downers Grove.

Food will be served at 4:30pm. Hamburgers and hot dogs, lemonade, iced tea and water will be provided.

If your last name begins with the initials A-J, please bring a dessert.

If your last name begins with the initials K-Z, please bring a salad or side dish.

All dishes should serve 10 or more people.

(Bring food in disposable containers along with disposable serving utensils or label whatever you bring.)

Friendship Sunday - a great time to get to know someone new, or someone you've been meaning to get to know a little better. Invite them out to lunch, over to your house, or even at their house. Make it a family thing. Nothing fancy, just a good time around the table for a meal and fellowship.

Also, don't forget to come back to church Sunday evening at 6 to hear the "Best In Brass" with Tim Zimmerman and The King's Brass.

URGENT NEED. We are in need of someone to teach Jr Church this Sunday, 8/7/11. Please contact us right away if you are able to help.

We are also in need of ongoing teachers/helpers for the 1st/2nd grades Sunday school.

Hello Church Family,
I am wanting to buy a used baby car seat and stroller if possible. My Grandson Benjamin (11 months old) is coming to visit from Maryland and I would like to have a car seat for my own car to transport him (and my new grandson who has not yet arrived) when they are riding in Grandma's car. If anyone has one they are wanting to sell please let me now. The stroller would be nice to have for walks around the neighborhood and on day trips to our house. Have a blessed day.

There will be a prayer breakfast for men and women on Saturday, 7/30/11 8:00 a.m. at West Hills Church on 55th Street east of Cass Ave. for Tom & MerrieJo White. Tom is battling a rare form of cancer and we want to rally around him in prayer. We would love to see you there.

Lake Geneva Youth Camp is looking for workers during the week of Teen Camp, 7/24 thru 7/30. Workers must be 14 years or older, including moms and dads. You would have to provide your own transportation to and from the camp.

Please be in prayer for Marie Morrill (David Morrill's mom). The fall she took 10 days ago resulted in a broken hip that wasn't found until now. She will be undergoing surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Please pray for that the surgery will go well and pray for comfort and complete healing for Marie. Also, be in prayer for David and his family during this time.
