FBC is in need of Sunday School Teachers for the summer for grades first through sixth. We are looking for teams of two for each class for either the whole quarter (June/July/August) or on a monthly basis. There will be information available at the table in the hallway of the foyer. If you are interested and/or would like to help out at VBS this year, please attend a meeting on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. for more information. This is for anyone and everyone. Come and find out how you can be a helper, planner, leader, etc. Many, many volunteers are needed. The meeting will take place in Fellowship Hall.

Help is needed for AWANA Carnival Night - this Wednesday - 4/28/10. There is a lot of work in setup and breakdown. Any additional help would be hugely appreciated. If you are able to spare some time on Tuesday evening, 4/27/10, setup will be getting started. We could also use additional one-time help (including Jr Leaders). Whatever time you are able to give would be appreciated.

Long time member, 89-year-old Myrtle Caliendo went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, 4/11/10 in the afternoon. Myrtle had been a resident of Fairview Village for several years.

The wake will be held on Friday, 4/16/10 from 3-9 p.m., at Hills Funeral Home - 10201 S Roberts Rd - Palos Hills IL 60485 - (708)598-5880.

The funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, 4/17/10.

Former and long-time member, 91-year-old Marian Tuttle, went home to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday, 4/4/10. Her service will be on Saturday, 4/10/10 at:

Hello Parents!

The traditional Palms Parade by the children will lead off the start of the Palm Sunday Service. This includes 2’s & 3’s and 4’s & K’s and Grades 1-4.

Please arrive at 8:50 to allow for time sign in your children and to allow for teachers to walk their classes to the sanctuary on time.

After 9:00 ABF/Worship Service all children will remain in Sunday School classrooms until the start of the 10:30 Worship Service where they will parade through again.

If you are only attending the 10:30 service, please arrive by 10:15 to sign in your 2s & 3s and 4s & Ks.

1st - 4th Graders should be dropped off upstairs in the Junior Church rooms to be escorted down with their teachers and the rest of the class.

Virginia Marks (Doug Marks' mother) went home to be with the Lord over the weekend. Visitation will be at Adams, Winterfield, Sullivan on Main just south of Ogden (across from Downers North High School) on Thursday, 3/18/10 from 6-9 p.m. She will lie in state from 9-10 a.m. at Fairview's Elrich Chapel on Friday, 3/19/10 at Fairview Village on Fairview just south of 63rd Street. Her service will follow at 10 a.m. Pastor Don will be officiating.
