Come join us as our congregation engages in 24 Hours of Prayer and Fasting. Starting Sunday, January 10th at 6 PM and going to Monday, January 11th at 6 PM, we will pray for the many needs in our congregation and community.

Starting at 6 PM on Sunday, January 10th we will gather for an evening service of worship and prayer and then finish around the communion table. The church sanctuary will then be open Sunday evening until 10:00. On Monday at 6:00 AM, the doors to the sanctuary will re-open for you to pray by yourself or join in with others in prayer.

Please follow the link below to RSVP a time to specifically pray for these needs. Please feel free to pray whenever you can; the RSVP is to have a continuous time of prayer from our congregation.

There are many benefits of praying for others and lifting up these requests before God on behalf of our brothers and sisters in Christ. 1 Timothy 2:1-5 says “I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” NIV

Prayer cards will be in the Worship folder Sunday morning and available at the “Welcome Center” in the foyer of the church.

Dave Shaefer (not Paul Shaefer) has gotten the help he needs for his two daughters to be cared for. He would like to thank those who called to offer their help. Also, it was his mother-in-law (not his mother) who had the heart attack. Dave would also like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.

A pastor from Wisconsin has six tickets for tomorrow (Saturday) night's event at 6:00 PM at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates IL. If you are interested and would like to make use of the tickets (they are $44.50 each), please contact Jerry Bernardo at 630-322-8132 and he will make the arrangements for you to get them.

We still have the fundraiser going on for Gleaners that Tupperware is taking part in by offering 40% of all total sales collected to go to "Gleaners for the Lord." Please stop by the table in the hallway of the foyer and pick up a 'fun' raising with Tupperware envelope with a brochure inside. The fundraiser date has been extended to 12/31/09 before midnight.
