Beware the Herdmans! Six poorly behaved, delinquent and violent children go to church for the first time merely because they believe that snacks are handed out at Sunday School. Instead, they find themselves involved in the annual Christmas Play. Everyone thinks the Pageant will turn out to be a disaster, but when the curtain finally goes up, a miracle begins and it all turns into - The Best Christmas Pageant Ever!

Just another friendly reminder to turn your clocks back one hour before you go to bed tonight. Or... set them forward one half hour and arrive by 9:00 AM CST in order to attend one of our Adult Bible Fellowships:

Please help us fill the Care Packages going to our college students. Some items needed are: Snacks - Toiletries - Laundry Supplies, just to name a few and shoe boxes (nothing larger than a size 10). Please stop by the table in the hallway of the foyer on Sunday, 10/25, to let us know what you can and will be bringing. Also, if you are able to help the morning of October 31st at 10 in Fellowship Hall we would appreciate it. Thank you.

Cookies are still needed for Sunday evening - Missionary Christmas - 10/25/09. If you would be willing and able to bring Christmas cookies (all kinds) we need you to drop them off Sunday morning in the FBC kitchen so we will know how many more are needed before the evening.

We are still looking for responses from our FBC families to host our missionaries for lunch this Sunday, 10/25/09. There are three men that will be staying for lunch and we would like them to each go with a different family. If you would like to host one of these men, please contact the church office.

We will have a few of our missionaries who would like to stay for a meal after Sunday's service. If you would be willing to take someone out to lunch or have them in your home for a meal, please respond to the church office. At this time, we know of at least two of the men who would like to stay for a meal (their families most likely will not be with them). We would like to get this firmed up before Sunday.

THERE IS STILL TIME TO RSVP THE GRANES. Vijo and Chanina, who run El Arca in Jarabacoa will be traveling the Chicagoland area over the next couple of weeks. They will be joined by Vic Trautwein from Kids Alive International. Paul & Kary Grane are hosting a reception/dinner in their honor on Monday, October 19 from 6-8 P.M. for anyone that is going to the Dominican Republic, Interested in going to the Dominican Republic and/or anyone who helps sponsor a child in the Dominican Republic is invited. It is imperative that you please RSVP by Friday, October 16th by calling 630-834-4834.

They have had only one response thus far and ask that people would respond asap so they know how much food to order. Thank you.
