MINISTRY NEED
MEAL
We will have a few of our missionaries who would like to stay for a meal after Sunday's service. If you would be willing to take someone out to lunch or have them in your home for a meal, please respond to the church office. At this time, we know of at least two of the men who would like to stay for a meal (their families most likely will not be with them). We would like to get this firmed up before Sunday.
Thank you. Darlene

NOTICE
VISITOR GREETING TRAINING
This is not just for greeters! This is for everyone who wants to be more effective at meeting, welcoming, and assisting our visitors. When: Saturday, September 26th, 2009 Time: 10:00AM - For about an hour Where: FBC Fellowship Hall Snacks: Treats and coffee
The Outreach Committee is hosting a training class this Saturday, 9/26/09, to help us reach our visitors. This training will give even the most timid church member ideas and tools to notice, greet, and even seek out visitors. We will offer ideas of what to say, questions to ask, and how to remember their names and other information they give you. Remembering information about someone always makes them feel valued. Our goal is not just to greet, but to embrace and to love, just like Christ. Making people feel welcome is not just a job for the greeters. Research shows that people decide within the first 90 seconds of walking in a church if they will return. We would like to become more effective as a whole church reaching out to visitors.
Childcare will be provided.
We look forward to seeing you there,
The Outreach Committee
