ANNOUNCEMENT
re: Small groups
Men,
The growth and transformation that God wants for all of our lives only takes place in the context of smaller circles and genuine relationships. Small groups need to be the place where real lives are revealed and changed by the work of the Spirit through loving relationships and a specific strategy.

Join one of our men's small groups:
Monday night: 7 pm in church's Conference room

Thursday night: 7 pm in church's Conference room

Saturday morning: 7am in church's Conference room

In His Service,
Enrique De La Paz

REMINDER
re: deadline
Men,
The deadline is here! I know that there are multiple concerns and issues that are part making a decision to attend a full-day men's conference. We have families and homes and work and other responsibilities that need their attention. Please invest in your family, yourself, and our church.

One of the keynote speakers is Don Davis.
Don played 11 seasons in the National Football League and retired from the New England Patriots in 2007 with two Super Bowl Championship Rings. After retirement, Don was hired by Bill Belichick as Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach and Team Chaplain. After being ordained in 2007, Don decided in 2008 that he would go into full time sports ministry. He was hired as Director of NFL Programs for Pro Athletes Outreach, a conference based ministry to professional athletes.

Sign up for the Iron Sharpens Iron Men's Conference on Sunday.

ANNOUNCEMENT
re: Iron Sharpens Iron
Men,
The men's ministry leadership team and I desire to make an impact-an impact for Christ. We will labor diligently and strategically to equip our church to train men for spiritual leadership in the home, church and community. We will accomplish this goal in many different facets.
One of the ways is attending a large group setting like the Iron Sharpens Iron conference. The conference is not like a Sunday service. Because of its all-male environment, Iron Sharpens Iron offers men opportunities to learn and grow that are relevant in content and masculine in presentation. This doesn't happen on a Sunday morning; its simply a different environment. We will be among hundreds of men engaged in Christ-centered worship.

Sign up on Sunday at church or contact me directly.

Enrique De La Paz

ANNOUNCEMENT
re: men's conference
I want to take the opportunity to invite each one of you to attend the Iron Sharpens Iron men's conference. The date is February 23. This year we will be tailgating for lunch.

I've determined that men don't need to be berated and beaten up for where they are failing. Instead, they need another man to put his arm around them and cheer them on. Men need help and hope that they really can do this thing and be the man, husband, father, and grandfather that God has called him to be. That's one of the goals of the conference. To help and equip us as men.
Iron Sharpens Iron Men's Conferences are one-day conferences. The conference begins at 8:30 AM and ends at 4:55 PM. The registration cost of $45 and $35 for students.
You can choose from 16 different seminars. Some of the topics will include:
- Don't Trade A Future Blessing for Temporary Pleasure
- Family Devotions That Blow Up The Box
- Hidden Messages In Movies and Music
- Finishing Well; Leaving A Legacy For The Next Generation

Sign up on Sunday at church or contact me directly.

Men's Breakfast - tomorrow morning 8:00AM
Men, we are having a Men’s Breakfast this Saturday, January 19, at 8:00AM in Fellowship Hall.

Besides having great food, fellowship, and fun we will hear a very important talk given by Dave Mozdin on sexual purity. With today’s culture pushing us in the wrong direction, this should be a timely subject.

Also, we will be having a testimony given by someone who has climbed Pike’s Peak, been in the same office for 20 years, and voted by his high school class as the best dancer.

Bring a son, a neighbor, or a relative and have a great experience. We will finish around 9:30AM.

We look forward to seeing you there!

The Hedberg family will be putting their house on the market very soon and we would like to help them get a few projects done outside in the yard.

We will end the breakfast and head over to the house and work till noon.

The address to meet at is:
5921 Lee St
Downers Grove
(house is south side of 59th street on Lee)

If you can't make it to the breakfast and can help out meet us at the house at 10:00.

Thanks for helping us serve one another.

Men's Breakfast: Peter Worrall
Men,

You won't want to miss hear our speaking for tomorrow's Men's Breakfast at FBC.

I first met Peter a few years back at Pine Trail Camp when he was the speaker for the week of camp. I can attest that he is a dynamic speaker; he touched my heart through his teaching. He is tremendous with kids in making the connection to their level of understanding the scriptures, while stretching their minds to grasping greater understanding of God's glory.

Peter is a professor, teacher, preacher and missionary with an all in passion for the pursuit of God. He writes a daily devotion blog: http://theplymothian.wordpress.com if you want to get to know Peter better.

Men, you will walk away from tomorrow mornings breakfast with something new to contemplate in your heart about God. Don't miss tomorrow's breakfast if you are in town. Bring your dad and bring your son(s).

See you at FBC - Fellowship Hall Saturday July 7, 2012. Doors open at 7:45 AM and Breakfast (all you can eat for $5) starts at 8:00 AM.

By the way, someone might want to ask him about Cecil the Caterpillar.
